September 22, 2026

Just a short recap of what we accomplished last week, along with a few recommendations for this week:

  1. We had a brief parent meeting to start the class.  Things to remember:
    • -SAC instructors are identified by lanyards
    • -We’re excited to get to know the kids through the coming weeks, and for the following dates, we’ll be having everyone together from 5:30 – 7:30 pm- Sept 23, (no class on Sept 30) and Oct 7.  Looking forward to getting to know where these kids are at, and how we can build their skills!
    • -With the registration numbers we currently have, we will need to split the class.  How EXACTLY we will split the classes is yet to be determined, but we will honour as many request for student combinations as possible, as we know there are some carpool groups, etc.  The times will look like this:

5:30 – 6:30         GROUP A

6:30 – 7:00         GROUP A & B

7:00 – 8:00         GROUP B

2. We had a great class last week, with some getting to know each other in our traditional sharing circle, followed by some music learning (they sound fantastic!!) and theatre games (“The Atom Game”).  The kids were introduced to “levels”, tableaus, and had a great time being creative with improv scenes and costumes.

3. A few other reminders:

    • -Our concert and performance dates will be confirmed a little later in the fall.
    • -We’ll be keeping our eyes open for kids who are interested in solos…we’ll do our best to help them develop that skill along the way.
    • -Please have your kids come in comfortable clothes that they can move around in, and that you’re not worried about getting a little dusty from being on the floor.  We move a lot, and the floors can get a bit dusty.
    • -Bring a water bottle!
    • -Sign in and sign out – we will be requiring any student 9 yrs and under to be signed in and signed out.  Please look for the sign-in sheet at your next class.

4. Questions?  Let us know!

See you at your next class!
