About the Program
Discover the art of pottery in our engaging program designed for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced artisans. Participants will explore essential techniques such as hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing, and firing, while fostering creativity and self-expression. Led by experienced instructors with extensive backgrounds in ceramics, the program ensures personalized guidance and support throughout your artistic journey. By the end of the class, you can expect to have created unique pieces and gained a deeper understanding of pottery fundamentals.

Important Information
At SAC, we strive to ensure your experience is positive! Please review our Class Withdrawal & Refund Policy:
If you withdraw two weeks prior to the start date of a class, workshop, or day camp, you will receive a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee (SAC memberships are non-refundable).
If you withdraw within two weeks of the start date, a 50% class fee credit will be applied to your SAC account, or a 50% class fee refund, less the $25 cancellation fee, will be issued by cheque.
No refunds will be issued once a class, workshop, or day camp has begun.
When applicable, only the class fee is refundable; SAC memberships, admin fees, and material fees are non-refundable.
All refunds are issued either by cheque or as a credit to your SAC account; cash and credit/debit card refunds are not available.
Your class fees play a vital role in helping us provide high-quality programming for everyone. Thank you for being a valued member of our community!
Class Minimums
Classes/Workshops are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of registrants is not reached. In this case, a full refund (or an account credit) will be issued including membership and administration fees. We inform registering students as soon as possible when we have canceled a class.
IF DUE TO PUBLIC HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS
If Public Health recommends that isolation is to be reinstated and arrangements for virtual teaching can be made by SAC, no credits or refunds will be issued.
If virtual learning is not possible, the participant will receive a prorated credit for the remainder of their class.
Students will receive an information/reminder email prior to the start of a class/workshop.
FULL CLASSES
Our classes have limited spots each season. If a class you’re interested in shows as CLASS FULL, you can still join our waitlist by emailing or calling us. Please note that our website is manually updated to reflect available spots, so it's still best to reach out or create an account to check class availability.
Our waitlist operates on a first-come, first-served basis. We will contact you via email or phone if a spot becomes available for your registration. Please note that joining the waitlist does not guarantee admission to the class.
Typically, we offer the same class in the following season. Feel free to check our website periodically or sign up for our SAC eNews to receive updates on current and upcoming classes/events.
REGISTERED BUT UNPAID
If you’ve registered for a class but haven’t completed payment, we will follow up with you. If we don’t hear from you, we may need to offer your spot to the next person on the waitlist. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks to our generous contributors who support our mission at SAC, we can provide bursaries to the community. These bursaries aim to reduce barriers for families and create opportunities for local children.
