The Steinbach Dodge Creative Kids Bursary Fund

The bursary fund is open to children in need of financial support, with a focus on making quality arts and culture recreation more accessible to those who will benefit from our programs.

With a growing number of classes and workshops offered throughout the season, there are opportunities for everyone to develop skills and invest in their own well-being.

The Steinbach Dodge Creative Kids Bursary fund aims to eliminate barriers for families and create opportunities for children in the area.

Roxanne Klassen Memorial Fund

Are you new to Canada? At the Steinbach Arts Council, belonging is one of our core values. We believe having the opportunity to engage with community is the best way to accomplish that. SAC can provide financial assistance for arts and culture programming to our community members who are new to Canada through the generosity of the Roxanne Klassen Memorial Fund.

Whether you’re a family looking to attend a special cultural event, or a student hoping to build your skills as an artist, SAC can help. Welcome to Canada…Welcome to SAC. You belong here.

Roxanne Hiebert Klassen was a passionate pianist and self-taught but accomplished church organist. Her skills as accompanist were widely sought after and greatly appreciated.

She began her musical career as accompanist to choirs and musicals at Garden Valley Collegiate in Winkler. She continued to participate in and coordinate musical worship at Grace Mennonite Church in Steinbach until her passing in 2023.

She taught K-6 music at Mitchell Elementary School for many years. In her retirement she served multiple terms on the Board of the Steinbach Arts Council. Music was a gift that Roxanne cherished and shared freely with others throughout her life. Her family wishes to continue to share this gift in memory of her through the Steinbach Arts Council.
