KR Barkman Concert

Your favourite FREE outdoor concert series is back this summer! KR Barkman Concerts in the Park are for the whole family, featuring local performers in indie rock, pop, folk, blues, classic rock, and more.

2024 Artist Applications

The Steinbach Arts Council is once again looking for artists to share their talents with the community at the 2024 KR Barkman Concerts in the Park. This free outdoor concert series will take place in May and June at the KR Barkman Park gazebo on Main Street. Applications are open to bands, soloists, dancers, choirs, and artists of all kinds – if you’re looking to share your artistry, this is a great opportunity for you!

Local musical and theatrical performers are invited to apply to perform in one of the city’s most beautiful outdoor venues and build your summer audience.

Visual Artists are invited to showcase their artworks and create on site during these concerts in the park. Share your creations and be inspired by live music and the energy of the audience.

All Artists may sell their merchandise in the park during the show.

We are pleased to offer this concert series free of charge for the public. The Steinbach Arts Council will provide the venue, pay the park rental and electricity cost, assist with a sound system and technician, and provide marketing and promotions.

Concerts run Tuesdays and Thursdays between the Victoria Day weekend and Summer in the City: May 23, 28, 30, and June 4, 6, 11, 13. Fill out your preferred dates on the application form – first come, first served! Applications close April 15, 2024.

The Steinbach Arts Council is delighted to partner with the Barkman Concrete Foundation to continue this summer tradition of featuring local and guest artists and bringing our community together in celebration of music and arts.
