Certain landscapes linger in our memories long after we’ve left them. In Places That Stay With Us, Dawn Schmidt captures the enduring beauty of Manitoba’s prairie horizons and Winnipeg’s iconic urban landmarks through luminous colour and expressive brushwork. Inspired by expansive skies, reflective waterways, and changing seasons, her paintings celebrate the emotional connection we form with the places that shape our lives. This exhibition invites visitors to revisit familiar scenes through fresh eyes and renewed appreciation.
