About the Program

BOSS Dance offers a variety of 10-week introductory classes for children ages 3-9 years old. These classes are designed to develop fundamental dance skills and nurture creativity in a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether your child is interested in Ballet, Hip-Hop, or a combination of styles, our experienced instructor, Kadri Neufeld, will guide them through the fundamentals of each discipline.

Kadri Neufeld is an accomplished dancer with over 12 years of training in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop. She has successfully completed exams in Jazz (ADAPT), Tap (Al Gilbert), and Ballet (Cecchetti), making her a well-rounded and skilled instructor. Kadri’s dance career has taken her on numerous trips across Canada and the United States, where she has had the opportunity to train with renowned choreographers like Travis Wall, Sonya Tayeh, and Stacey Tookey, among others. Kadri’s passion for dance and her ability to inspire and nurture young dancers make her the perfect choice to lead the BOSS Dance program.

Class Details

Little Ballerinas (Age 3-5)

Start Date: September 9 – December 2, 2024
Location: Studio C
Fees: $120

Little Ballerinas is a beginner ballet class, where students learn basic steps, positions, and terms. The program introduces them to the fundamentals of classical ballet while encouraging imagination, creativity & expression.

Boss Ballet (Age 6-9)

Start Date: September 9 – December 2, 2024
Location: Studio C
Fees: $120

Our 6-9 Ballet class develops the passion and talent of young dancers in an individualized and encouraging, yet disciplined and high-expectation atmosphere. This class continues to explore the fundamentals of Ballet, with more introduction to technique and music.

Boss Hip Hop (Age 3-5)

Start Date: September 9 – December 2, 2024
Location: Studio C
Fees: $120

A class designed to introduce children ages 3-5 years old to hip-hop dance. Using floor drills, movement exercises, and games to teach kids general groove elements and an understanding of rhythm and music.

Boss Hip Hop (Age 6-9)

Start Date: September 9 – December 2, 2024
Location: Studio C
Fees: $120

Our 6-9 Hip Hop class is designed to develop coordination and musicality, with a focus on group dance numbers and individual freestyling to current hip-hop music.

Boss Contemporary (Age 9-12)

Start Date: September 9 – December 2, 2024
Location: Studio C
Fees: $120

This 10-week class invites young dancers to explore creativity through movement in a supportive and engaging environment. This class will focus on structures such as choreography, improvisation, music and movement.

Full refunds are given when you withdraw two weeks prior to the start date of a class/workshop/day camp. From that point until the start of classes, a 50% credit will be applied to your account upon withdrawal. There will be no refund after the start date. Your class fees help our Centre operate and offer high-quality programming for you and the community, and we strive to make it affordable for all. By signing up for a class/program, you are acknowledging our refund policy.

Only the Class Fee is subject to a refund. Your SAC membership, admin fees, and material fees are not included in the refund amount. We can send your refund in person back to your original mode of payment or by cheque in the mail.

Class Minimums

Classes/Workshops are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of registrants is not reached. In this case, a full refund (or an account credit) will be issued including membership and administration fees. We inform registering students as soon as possible when we have canceled a class.

IF DUE TO PUBLIC HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS

If Public Health recommends that isolation is to be reinstated and arrangements for virtual teaching can be made by SAC, no credits or refunds will be issued.

If virtual learning is not possible, the participant will receive a prorated credit for the remainder of their class.

Students will receive an information/reminder email prior to the start of a class/workshop.

FULL CLASSES

Our classes have a limited number of spots each season. If a class you’re interested in indicates CLASS FULL, you can still join our waitlist by emailing cassandra@steinbacharts.ca! We will contact you via e-mail or phone if a spot has opened so we can take your registration. We cannot guarantee admission to the class even when you have joined our call list.

In most cases, we open the same class in the next season. You can check back on our website from time to time or sign up for our SAC eNews to get updates about current and upcoming classes/events here.
