Class Policies
SAC Membership
A SAC Membership must be purchased for all classes which consist of multiple sessions (1+ hours per session). For workshops under 8 hours long or 1-day duration only, a member and non-member price will be indicated. Membership fees are non-refundable.
Refunds
Full refunds* are given when you withdraw two weeks prior to the start date of a class/workshop/day camp. From that point until the start of classes, a 50% credit will be applied to your account upon withdrawal. There will be no refund on or after the start date.
*Aside from memberships, admin fees, and material fees which are non-refundable.
Cancellations
Class Minimum
Programs such as SYC, BTC, FUSION, visual arts classes, creative wellness classes, day camps, and workshops are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of registrants is not reached. In this case, a full refund (or an account credit) will be issued including membership and administration fees. We inform registering students as soon as possible when we have canceled a program/class.
If Due to Public Health Recommendations
If Public Health recommends that isolation is to be reinstated and arrangements for virtual teaching can be made by SAC, no credits or refunds will be issued.
If virtual learning is not possible, the participant will receive a prorated credit for the remainder of their class.
Students will receive an information/reminder email prior to the start of a class/workshop.
Volunteering and Fundraising Waivers
Our flagship programs such as BTC, SYC/CC, Fusion, and Arts4Tots all have fundraising and volunteering opportunities as a requirement in order to complete registration. To learn more about our SAC Waiver Program, click here.
Payment Plans
Only select programs at the Steinbach Arts Council are offered to be paid in installments. To learn more about whether a class you’re interested in offers this, please see registration requirements on its respective webpage or call us at 204.346.1077.
Bursary Requests
SAC aims to break barriers and give every child the opportunity to participate in our programs. To apply for a bursary, please request a form from our office: office@steinbacharts.ca
Concerts Policies
Member/Non-Member Pricing
For concerts, The Steinbach Arts Council will sometimes indicate a Member and Non-member ticket price. Ticket purchasers have the opportunity to purchase a SAC Membership to apply the reduced rate or choose to purchase the Non-member price for a few more dollars. Ticket prices are per person whether you have an individual or family membership.
Otherwise, an Adult and Student price will be indicated.
Season Ticket Subscribers
Season Ticket holders are given tickets to the whole lineup in the SAC Concert Series. Season Ticket holders must have a SAC Membership in order to apply the reduced rate benefit for the whole season tickets package.
Refunds
Once payment has been processed, no refunds will be issued. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, no refund will be issued.
Postponed/Rescheduled Concerts
If, however, the Steinbach Arts Council cancels a concert due to public health restrictions/dates postponed after payment has been received, ticket purchasers will have the option to refund the full ticket price amount or receive a credit on their SAC account.
SAC Membership Fees are not included in the refund.
