The Steinbach Arts Council is proud to serve as an umbrella for performing, visual arts, and community groups to offer an environment where all arts disciplines can collaborate under one roof and share their talents and resources with the entire arts community. Alcoholics Anonymous
AA is a global fellowship dedicated to helping individuals struggling with alcoholism through shared experiences and mutual support. With no dues or fees, A.A. welcomes anyone with a desire to stop drinking, offering a structured program based on the Twelve Steps to foster recovery. For many years, the Steinbach Arts Council has proudly housed A.A. as part of its Affiliate Community, providing a supportive environment for those on their journey to sobriety while remaining committed to its primary purpose of guiding alcoholics without engaging in external controversies or providing professional treatment.

Al-Anon
Al-Anon is a mutual support program designed for individuals whose lives have been impacted by someone else's drinking, providing a space for sharing experiences and fostering positive change, regardless of the alcoholic's acknowledgment of their problem. For many years, the Steinbach Arts Council has provided the Steinbach Al-Anon Family Group the opportunity to rent space within its facility. The group is grateful to have had the same meeting room for so many years.
| Meetings are on Monday: 7:30-9:30pm, use the back door and go downstairs.
Accent Singers
The Accent Singers, a vibrant adult community choir from Steinbach, Manitoba, welcomes singers of all vocal ranges and abilities from the region. Under the direction of Meredith Hutchinson and accompanied by Annalee Schellenberg, the choir performs a diverse repertoire and collaborates with esteemed organizations like the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Winnipeg Singers, SRSS choirs and other local musicians.
Artista Academy
Artista Academy is an artistic development academy that fosters a holistic and engaging musical environment, focusing on personal growth and performance passion. Gabriela Gallo, a former Fusion Musical Theatre teacher at the Steinbach Arts Council, now independently operates Artista Academy and has become a valued user group within our building. Artista Academy offers musical theatre programming (singing/dancing/acting) for Gr. 2 to Gr. 12 students.
BOSS Dance Academy
BOSS Dance Academy is dedicated to promoting personal growth, community-building, and positive values through Dance, Theatre, Film, and the Arts, emphasizing mental and physical development. Committed to cultivating an appreciation for the arts, they maintain high standards in student discipline and provide a supportive environment for exploration and growth. In partnership with us, BOSS Dance Academy offers classes in our building while operating their own studio in Steinbach, enriching our community's artistic landscape.
Looking Glass Theatre
Looking Glass Theatre is Steinbach’s professional theatre company, bringing world-class performances and phenomenal entertainment to Steinbach and beyond. Each season features 3 “Mainstage” shows and monthly $10 events. They also host an annual Community Talent Show fundraiser, which features talents of all acts and ages from the community, and world-renowned special guest stars! Southeast Artist Group

The Southeast Artist Group is a community of artists where creatives of all levels are welcome. This group is perfect for adults 18+ who share a passion for art. They enjoy each other's company while supporting and encouraging fellow artists. The group also offers opportunities to participate in exciting art shows throughout the year, showcasing their talents and connecting with like-minded individuals. | Tuesdays: 9:30-11:30am from September to May.
Southeastern Manitoba Music Festival
The Southeastern Manitoba Festival is a significant cultural event that provides amateur musicians and speech performers from the region a unique platform to showcase their talents. Participants can perform, attend workshops led by industry professionals, and compete for various awards, motivating them to enhance their skills. Additionally, expert adjudicators offer constructive feedback, fostering artistic growth and community among the artists.
Southeastern Manitoba Music Teacher's Association
The Southeastern Manitoba Music Teacher's Association (SMMTA) is an organization that supports music educators in the southeastern region of Manitoba. It provides a platform for private music educators to collaborate, share resources, and enhance their professional development through workshops, events, and networking opportunities. SMMTA aims to promote music education in schools and the community, fostering a love for music among students and encouraging excellence in teaching practices.
Sidetrack Bandits
The Sidetrack Bandits are a comedic troupe known for their engaging physical comedy and improvisational skills. They create unique, original sketches and performances that keep audiences laughing and entertained. With a focus on community involvement, they invite guest performers and thrive on word-of-mouth promotion to share their humor with a wider audience.
SAC Photo Club
The Steinbach Arts Council Photo Club is a community group dedicated to photography enthusiasts of all skill levels. Members meet regularly to share their work, exchange ideas, and participate in workshops and photo outings, fostering a supportive environment for learning and creativity. The club aims to enhance members' photography skills while promoting appreciation for the art of photography within the community.
Meetings: First Wednesday of every month from Sept to May.
