Steinbach Arts Council Brings Hit Canadian Romantic Comedy, “Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad” to SRSS Theatre

STEINBACH, MB – The Steinbach Arts Council is thrilled to present the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre’s Regional Tour production of Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad, a Canadian romantic comedy hit production by award-winning playwright Michael Melski. This poignant and humorous play is set to take the stage at the SRSS Theatre on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 7:30 PM.

The play, which has been hailed as one of the Top Ten Plays of The Year by the Toronto Star, tells the story of two lonely single parents who unexpectedly find connection and love while watching their kids play a season of minor hockey. Melski’s script captures the heart of Canadian life, blending sharp wit with genuine emotion, making it a universally relatable experience.

Since its debut, Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad has enjoyed widespread acclaim, with over 40 professional productions across North America.
