Blue Beads and Blueberries

April 11, 2025 | 7:00pm | SRSS Theatre
Tickets: $12 adults | $10 under 18

Written by Erin Macklem
Directed by Katie German
Produced by Manitoba Theatre for Young People

When a father asks his daughters, how much they love him, he feels slighted by the response of his youngest and sends her away. This sets her off on an adventure of self-discovery, one brimming with beaded earrings, woven sashes, and traditional jigs. Blue Beads and Blueberries transforms an ancient fairy tale into a celebration of Métis culture.

Recommended for Ages 5-12
Approximate running time: 60 minutes
