Message from the Executive Director
Opening Doors. Building a Bright Future.
Nearly 30 years ago, the Steinbach Arts Council opened my eyes to the possibility of becoming an artist. I walked through these doors and was immediately inspired – challenged to work hard, collaborate, push my limits, and strive for something greater. That inspiration shaped my path, and today, it’s what drives us to do the same for the next generation.
Every year, we reach thousands of children and families. Whether through one of our 140+ subsidized classes and workshops, free after-school program or bursaries, or world-class concerts, our goal remains the same: to spark creativity, build confidence, and open doors to new possibilities.
As we celebrate 45 years of history, we also look ahead – to a future where arts and culture remain at the heart of our community.
Join us on May 2 as we raise funds to build a bright future. Your generosity could be someone’s open door.
– David Klassen, Exective Director

Jewelry
Take a piece of our history with you
Our Gala is not just a celebration of our history, but also a celebration of the possibilities for the future. The arts play a vital role in bringing people together and inspiring creativity and connection. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase a custom anniversary edition piece of jewelry created by GNM Fine Jewellers, inspired by Pablo Picasso’s La Ronde de la Jeunesse (The Youth Circle).

Building bright futures
We believe in self-expression and creating a space for kids and youth that encourages joy, authenticity, and freedom to express oneself. This year’s event will celebrate the students and individuals who walk through our Centre each day. We are proud to feature several Steinbach Arts Council students who have demonstrated dedication to learning their crafts and who contribute to their community by sharing their artistic skills and gifts.
