Steinbach Arts Council Announces Upcoming Hall Gallery Exhibit: Diversity by Marilyn Broesky
The Steinbach Arts Council (SAC) is proud to announce the upcoming Hall Gallery exhibition, Diversity, featuring the vibrant work of acclaimed local artist Marilyn Broesky. The exhibition will run from September 11 to October 16, 2026, with an opening ceremony hosted at the SAC Hall Gallery on September 11 at 6:00 PM.
Born and raised in Manitoba as the eldest of six children, Marilyn Broesky’s creative spark was ignited early in a modest household where imagination was essential. From tailoring outfits on a treadle sewing machine to pursuing hairdressing and fashion design, her passion for visual expression has been a lifelong thread.
After discovering oil paints and canvas, Broesky transformed into a self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist driven by a deep desire to explore every facet of visual art. Today, she translates the dimensions and colors of her inner world onto canvas through reflection, meditation, and intuitive brushwork. Presenting Diversity at the SAC Hall Gallery represents a culmination of this lifelong journey, bringing regional talent and rich creative perspective to the heart of the Southeast community.
“As a diverse artist in an ever-changing world, I am constantly shifting, growing, and evolving to create unique art forms and mediums. As diverse as you the individual are, I believe you will resonate with my art emotionally, mentally, and spiritually,” says Marilyn Broesky in an artist statement.
“Marilyn’s artistic path is a true celebration of lifelong creativity and dedication,” says Myah Klassen, SAC Hall Gallery Coordinator. “Her ability to move across styles and capture human connection through rich texture and vibrant color makes ‘Diversity’ an incredible experience for our community. We are thrilled to feature her work and invite everyone to step into the gallery to experience it firsthand.”
Artwork featured in Diversity will be available for purchase both during the opening ceremony and throughout the exhibit’s duration. Artwork sales directly support local artists.
