Cassandra Kornelsen
Cassandra returns to the Steinbach Arts Council Culinary Arts Program to share her passion for Culinary Arts! With over 10 years of Culinary Arts Instructor education and experience, Cassandra strives to ignite creativity through various cuisines, recipes and building community relationships.
Cassandra enjoys creating exquisite cakes, decadent desserts, and catering for large events. She attended Cake Love 2011 where she participated in high level cake design and development workshops in Vancouver, BC.
Being raised on a beef farm in rural Manitoba and living in Woodridge, MB, Cassandra is also passionate about vegetable gardening, canning preservatives, exploring farm-to-table concepts, and raising chickens.
Classes
Culinary Kids (Ages 9-12)
Culinary kids will explore the fundaments of creative, tasty, and safe practices in the kitchen. The kids will learn basic food handling, knife skills, and ingredient knowledge while baking and cooking in the kitchen. The kids will learn recipes to share with your whole family!

Class Policies
Registration for Culinary classes is available on our website
SAC Membership
A SAC Membership must be purchased for all classes which consist of multiple sessions (1+ hours per session). For workshops under 8 hours long or 1-day duration only, a member and non-member price will be indicated. Memberships have a 1-year validity and are non-refundable.
- Resident Membership: $15 for Individuals; $30 for Families
- Non-resident Membership: $20 for Individuals; $35 for Families

Refund Policy
Full refunds are given when you withdraw two weeks prior to the start date of a class/workshop/day camp. From that point until the start of classes, a 50% credit will be applied to your account upon withdrawal. There will be no refund after the start date. Your class fees help our Centre operate and offer high-quality programming for you and the community, and we strive to make it affordable for all. By signing up for a class/program, you are acknowledging our refund policy.
Only the Class Fee is subject to a refund. Your SAC membership, admin fees, and material fees are not included in the refund amount. We can send your refund in person back to your original mode of payment or by cheque in the mail.
